    We know that healthy foods CAN taste good. Our culinary team works hard to create meals, drinks, and yes, even desserts that taste so good, you’ll forget they’re good for you!

    All our meals are gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free. We use raw honey, maple syrup or dates as sweeteners. We follow the EWG’s Dirty Dozen organic produce guidelines, but want to provide as many organic ingredients as possible. All our spices, grains, gluten-free flours, and nuts are organic.

    All our meats are all-natural, organic, grass-fed or antibiotic and hormone free. We have partnered with Augustus Ranch in Yoakum to provide us with grass fed ground beef and pork.

    We buy seasonal produce from local farms, Nelson Farms and Spirit Pioneering Farms.

  • ERICA BRIGGS – OWNER/FOUNDER

    It was Erica’s passion for cooking and food that led her on her journey to discovering how to truly eat healthy. After years of what she thought was eating healthy and bouts of stomach issues, Erica found the Institute of Integrated Nutrition. She was quickly immersed in the world of healthy cuisine and living. She has gone on to help her clients prepare healthy meals that are organic, gluten free, sugar free, and dairy free. She has helped them see that eating healthy CAN taste good! Erica is now bringing that passion and those recipes to her storefront, ParaVida Wellness.

    Erica and her team are on a mission to make truly healthy food and lifestyles enjoyable and accessible to everyone!

  • ALLISON LOTT – GENERAL MANAGER

    Education: Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Houston.

    Allison has over 8 years of customer service and sales experience. She was the Nutrition Coach and Store Marketing Manager at an innovative health food company in Houston, Tx. She developed severe hypoglycemia from an early age. Since then, she learned the impact of how all natural eating habits can significantly improve your overall health. She is passionate about helping others through education and personalized service. Allison is excited to offer a variety of fresh, healthy to-go meals that taste great and meet your lifestyle needs in her hometown!

    Education: Bachelor of Natural Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

    A self-proclaimed workaholic, Stephanie Zapata is a mover and shaker. She is a force to be reckoned with and has over 10 years experience in hospitality and restaurant management. It is her personal goal to make her guests feel at home and have the best experience. Her passion for all things healthy is contagious and she enjoys helping others thrive.

    Stephanie always lives by example by eating a clean organic diet and working out like a champ. Eating healthy is her secret to having boundless energy and a great attitude. Customers fall in love with her adorably loud laugh and feel warm and welcomed from her enthusiastic “Good morning!” We just know you will fall in love with our sweet and rambunctious boss lady too!

    Education: Certified Health Coach, Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).

    Hi! My name is Crisi and I have been married for 19 years. We have two beautiful children. I have battled multiple auto-immune diseases in the last 10 years which have led me through trial and error to where I am today. Through my journey I have learned that clean eating, exercise, and a positive mental attitude can change your life for the better. By educating myself on what I put in and on my body, I have been able to improve my health and reduce or eliminate most of my prescription medications. . This has driven me to want to help others find their healthier self through natural options.

Dairy is another key allergen that can cause inflammation and contribute to health-related issues. ParaVida has removed all animal dairy products from our meals or juices and use almond milk, coconut water and coconut milk as bases for our smoothies.

MEAT or PLANTS

We are labeling our meals as either Paleo (no gluten, sugar, dairy, grains, corn, soy nor legumes) and WFPB (same as Paleo, but animal proteins – we do use gluten free grains and legumes and occasionally tofu). We feel that these are the most simple and most popular “diets” today.

Traditionally WFPB would be considered Vegan or Vegetarian, but these two allow for sugars and other processed foods. We want to keep our meals as “clean” as we can for health reasons and for those looking to lose weight.

Don’t label yourself....try a variety of meals from ParaVida or mix it up! If you’re not a big veggie eater, don’t be scared. You might just like Brussels Sprouts!
